Twenty years ago, a small group of people could take no more. They were fed up with the way the world worked. The scandals, the murder, the environment. In their eyes, all the beauty was being robbed from them by society. There was only one thing left to do. Find utopia. An island somewhere off Thailand, with its heaven like beauty and serenity was the chosen spot. The leaders all made a pact to never live in the old world again. They only let select people in on the secret, as they knew that if they opened it to anyone who wanted to, it would eventually turn into the world that they had been escaping.

However, to be seclusive is a hard thing and being cut off from the modern world was more of a challenge that they had expected. At first, it was just people wanting to go back to the mainland for weekends or 'vacations'. The leaders ban this, for fear that something of their secret place would slip to someone else. Another problem was people wanting to bring other people. Everyone who came wanted their friends to experience the same life of joy and no responsibilities. The leaders made everyone on the island make a promise that they would never go back to that world. They would forget everyone back there, even their families. Over the years, it got so extreme that people weren't allowed to go to the hospital for emergencies. The leaders sometimes "took care" of people that were making to much of a racket. The secrets stay as they are though, no one wants to believe that this life is based upon lies.

Overlook those secrets, as most do, and you will have the life you have always dreamed of. Every six months, a leader will take one person that has been on the island for quite some time, someone that they trust, and go to the mainland for supplies. However, most people don't want that task and would rather never leave the warm sand, the aqua blue water, the bright sun. After all, this is utopia. Who would ever want to leave?
