"Solitary Academy of Wrestling is a Wrestling School based in St Louis, Missouri. The school was founded by Jack Bradshaw, a former professional wrestler known as ‘The Hammer’. During his successful career, Jack earned a lot of fame and won a number of titles, including the world heavyweight. Now, having retired from the sport, he decided to setup a military styled academy for training in the art of wrestling.
Joining him is his training partner, Wayne Fitzpatrick and a group of qualified wrestling trainers, all specializing in their own fields.
Students must sign up to the school through an application like any other college. The academy takes the responsibility of providing food, shelter and all the basic needs for the students but they must obey the rules of the school to survive for Jack isn’t one who lets the slackers lounge around. This is a professional wrestling academy and all those who sign up for it will truly learn what Hard Knocks are all about.
Once your application has been processed and accepted, you will be given a basic trainee contract to set you on your way to become a professional. This is to see whether you have what it takes to wrestle. Everyone will be assigned dorm-rooms and a single room-mate as the luxury of having your own room is not yet provided. You will be assigned a specific trainer to match your wrestling style although you may take lessons from all different styles to decide what would suit you best.
Every week you will be given the opportunity to wrestle in the gymnasium, which will be open to the local public, free of charge. Those who progress well and show talent will move on to bigger and better things such as house-shows and tours to different cities and arena’s as part of an independent wrestling federation.
Do you have what it takes? If you think you can handle it, sign up but if you don’t have the heart or will to push yourself to the limit, this place isn’t for you."
