Intro:

For years people has worked to create the perfect man. The US government even made a secret branch in 1982 to begin to create such a being: a branch known as the Society. However, their expirements went wrong and instead of creating the perfect being, they created mutants. Still, the Society continued to study these mutants.

In 1988 the mutants started a battle against the Society. Neither side won and almost everything was destroyed. Many of the surviving mutants were taken to a new lab built in Manhattan. Other mutants that managed to escape lived a daily life. They raised families and tried to keep their mutation hidden. However, the mutation became genetic.

Over time the government heard about the mutants in the US - and in some parts of the world. They tried to quietly capture these mutants with out the public knowing, but of course they caught wind of the mutants. Everything spun out of control - mutants were outcasted and even attacked, sought out by the government. Captured mutants were instantly sent to the Society's base to be expiremented on.

In 2008 a group of mutants gathered, building a large mansion in Manhattan. This would be a place for mutants to live safely.

Now the year is 2020. News leaked about the mansion, but nothing has been proven and so the mutants living there remain safe. The Society continues to expirement on mutants, humanity still fears and despises them. Times are hard now, especially for mutants. There may be some with darker ambitions rising, as well.
