Basically the site is more or less based on a series of blood feuds, the mafia plays a very minor role.
St.Charles is set in the year 2008. It’s about life, living, taking what you’re given and making it your own. Like life itself it’s often not easy or fun and tries us further and harder than we ever though we could go.
THE PAST
1829 The town of St.Charles is founded by two families The Tudors and the Vladimirs. The Tudors are an English immigrant family of wealth and culture. The Vladimir’s, a French family having been exiled from France due to the nefarious nature of Hayko's crimes against the French people. They moved to Russia and lived for some time. Five years after having met the Tudors in St.Petersburg both families move, settle and found St.Charles. All went well until the Industrial Revolution hit and the two families fought for control of the booming town. About this time the de Arezzo's and the Renalus's arrive. Allegiances are made, the turf war is temporally settled and all seems modestly well. However in 1990 one Jema de Lacerda comes to town and starts working for the eldest Tudor at Olympia Diamonds. She is hardworking, ambitious, and has a fiery passionate way with business. Unbeknownst to his heirs he names Ms. Lacerda as the sole inheritor of his multi million dollar diamond industry. This once again lights the fuse between not only the Vladimir’s(she is the girl friend and mother to two of Mr.Vladimir’s children) and the Tudors but the Tudor’s and Ms.Lacerda.
THE PRESENT
Today The city is in the capable hands of the City's politicians Calysto Renalus, Cassius de Arezzo, and Xavier Vladimir. So far the only dirty city officials are the ones infecting the police force. Though as crime rises that is sure to change. Things have found a harmony and a turf war is not looming on the horizon yet. However ill will is brooding between the Costra Nostra and the Krysha as they continue to launder money, run weapons and dabble in the age old human trafficking run. Drug use is not as big a problem for the city as prostitution and illegal blood sports are. However there is more to St.Charles than the Politicans, the cops and the Mafias. Most of the people are just trying to make a living going about life and for the students getting though there school sentences.

How many members roughly, and how active is it: About 20ish members with 48 or so Characters, people on everyday, posts everyday. A very friendly community.

Type of site: Modern Realistic City Roleplay. Basically its an open plot so what you want to do is largely up to you. However we may have a broad site line plot in the future but it will be up to the members and not mandatory.
