Plot (if any) or summary, a welcoming: New Orleans: The Big Easy, Hollywood of the South, The City That Care Forgot, Crescent City. The historic Creole city has many names, but for the cats of Crescent City, it's just home. They've lived here for centuries, since before the city became a Southern metropolis, and they continue to thrive today. They dart between the legs of Mardi Gras revelers, mooch food from tourists, keep the antique city free of vermin, and try to look out for themselves. The pet cats lead easy lives, with regular meals, only venturing to the streets when they care to, but the strays face hardship and danger every day: cars, disease, hunger, animal control, even predators. Their best hope is to band together in colonies for protection and support, looking to strong leaders for guidance. Some believe in an ancient religion called Voodoo, performing strange rituals to ensure their health and well-being, but some use their beliefs for less kind purposes. There is an old feline priestess who lives deep in the bayous who is said to offer spiritual aid to cats in dire need, but the trek through the wilderness is one fraught with danger. The truth, for cats at least, is that life's not so easy in the Big Easy.
